This
group includes the roughnecks of the canine world!
The dogs that make up the core group are all
confident & lively and just can't wait to
meet new friends. Those canine delinquents who
think they own the world are in for
a shock! Whilst none of them are aggressive they
will certainly 'speak' their minds if approached
in a manner. Once good manners have been
established, they encourage hostile their new
friends to join them in a romp around the field
and (when the weather allows maybe a game of
Flyball or a run around the Agility course.!)
The
Boo! Group
These
are very gentle dogs who whilst interested in
other dogs would not go out of their way to meet
them. They are confident but quiet. Displays of 'Boo!
Look at my teeth, aren't you frightened?' are
wasted on these canine communication experts.
Once the new member realises that shouting and
screaming at their new acquaintances is totally
unproductive they give up! In time, they calm
down and begin to engage in polite conversation
until they feel confident enough to play.
The
Naughty but Nice Group
Angela's
favourite group! This group consists of dogs in
the early stages of their rehabilitation. Under
strict supervision four to six dogs learn canine
and human social skills. Each dog has been
through his long line training and first learns
to simply accept the presence of a strange dog/person.
There is plenty of room in the two acre field for
these Prep. School pupils to get only as close to
each other as they can cope with. Most of them
will eventually progress to being able to join in
with one of the interactive groups. Each
dog and handler is finally faced with their
individual worst scenario and taught how to cope
with it.
